The Taurus Judge is a Brazilian revolver designed for personal protection introduced in 2008, and is reportedly Taurus International's best selling firearm. The Judge has a five round capacity and is chambered for both .410 bore shotshells and the Colt .45 round, although it was designed for use with shotshells.
The Public Defender series is a snub-nose version of Judge, utilizing a smaller barrel and hammer for usage as a concealed carry firearm.
Out of all of the Mechanic's available revolvers, the .410 Jury has shortest range and is tied with the .38 Snub for having the lowest cylinder capacity at five rounds. Unlike all of the other sidearms, however, the Jury does not fire a bullet, instead using .410 Shotshells as ammunition. This gives it significant edge in close quarters, and allows it to fulfill a role similar to a semi-automatic shotgun.
The .410 Jury is unlocked by completing the assignment "Mechanic Assignment 2". Once unlocked, it can be used with both factions.
- Like a few other weapons in the game, the Jury has a very low chance to trigger a special reload. In this animation, the gun will be spun and flipped around continuously while the character throws shells into the chambers of the rapidly moving gun. The last shell will be thrown towards the left, going off screen, and will reappear on the right side of the screen, flying into the gun.
- The .410 Jury damage per pellet was increased to 20 in the 1.02 patch
- The .410 Jury's reloading animation has the player character place 4 shells between his fingers before loading 5 into the chamber.
- In real life, the .410 shell has a relatively low pellet count.
