25mm Smoke rounds are available in Battlefield 4 as optional ammunition for the XM25 launcher.

They use the same airburst mechanism as the 25mm Airburst Grenade.

The smoke from these grenades is not so dense and wide as from M18 Smoke Grenade, plus the time effect is shorter, but in exchange they act instantly and can be launched multiple times from a longer distance. Their effectiveness is increased if launched several times over a same objetive.

• It can be possible kill infantry if a direct hit is made.
