The 7th Cavalry Regiment is a United States Army cavalry regiment, whose lineage traces back to the mid-19th century. Its official nickname is "Garryowen," in honor of the Irish air Garryowen that was adopted as its march tune. The 7th Cavalry appears in Battlefield Vietnam, during the Battle of Ia Drang and Ambush at LZ Albany.

The 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry appears in The Ia Drang Valley, the first major battle of the Vietnam War. The 1/7 Battalion goes up against the 66th North Vietnamese Army Regiment.

2nd Battalion[]
The 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry appears in Landing Zone Albany, shortly after the events of The Ia Drang Valley. The 2/7 Battalion is ambushed by the 33rd North Vietnamese Army Regiment.
