Armed Forces[]

Military Branches[]

These are currently all of the operated military branches in the US. These are past and present branches.

Seal Branch

They are part of the Department of the Navy. They appear in several Battlefield games.

They also have a special operations force known as the Navy SEALs. They appear in several Battlefield games.
United States Air Force Seal The United States Air Force (USAF) is a branch of the United States military responsible for aerial operations, transportation and support. Its aircraft appear in Battlefield games, but the Air Force itself is never mentioned and the players using them are always from another service.

It had many components, such as the Studies and Observations Group and the 5th Special Forces. It has been disbanded since March 29, 1973, though many components are still in service today.

They as well are known to use black operations to destabilize and interfere with foreign governments. Military Organizations[]

These are the military organizations that the US has been or is still apart of.

Flag Organization
NATO The United States is a member state of NATO, which is featured as a faction in its own right in the singleplayer mode of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. The United States is therefore presumably involved indirectly in this faction.
Flag of the United States The United States was a member state of the Allied Forces during the First and Second World War. While they are never seen as one specific faction, they are represented as each individual nation. Therefore, they are present in both World War Two era games, Battlefield 1, and Operation Aurora in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. In World War One, the US faced the Central Powers along with the other members of the Allies, which in 1917 included France, Britain, and Italy. In the Second World War, they were the primary faction of the Western Allies facing off with the Axis powers, with the US joining roughly two years after the war began in Europe.

Law Enforcement[]

Seal Service
SWAT United States has close to 18,000 federal and local police departments, with many departments owning firearms to prepare for violent confrontations. Many large departments also maintain SWAT units, who use specialized equipment and tactics to deal with high-risk situations. In Battlefield Hardline, the Law Enforcement faction is a nonspecific representation of the multitude of federal and regional police forces in United States.

Climate change, a refugee crisis, dwindling resources, and resulting societal collapse and unrest have all likely taken their toll on the nation. While they have fared better compared to the many failed states and ruined civilizations left in the wake of the 2030's and 40's, they still appear to be struggling to reconcile with the changed world, fighting a grueling war with Russia, the other remaining superpower, for the last of the natural resources left.
