StoreEdit

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 offers an in-game 'store' where players can browse and purchase DLC. The feature is new to the Bad Company franchise as it did not appear in the first of the series.

The 'store' can be accessed through the main menu and appears as one of the 'tabs'. Xbox and PlayStation users can purchase themes and exclusive videos with the use of Microsoft Points or by adding funds to the PS Store wallet

The 'store' also sells the original Battlefield: Bad Company available for download as well as Battlefield 1943.

VIP Map PacksEdit

To add to the game's already big multiplayer, DICE periodically releases VIP Map Packs, containing 2 maps on new game modes. These maps are free of charge for those who have entered a valid VIP code, or have bought a code from the in-game store.

Seven VIP Map Packs were released until DICE halted support on the game:

Map Pack 5 was released on July 28, 2010, and features revised versions of two of the game's winter maps:

Map Pack 6 was released on August 18, 2010, and features two more squad-based maps:

Map Pack 7 was released on December 1, 2010. Unlike the first six VIP Map Packs, this map pack features four maps. Two of them have been updated from the first Bad Company game due to their popularity. The other two have been brought over from the game's singleplayer campaign, albeit with a few differences.
