Battlefield 1942: The Road To Rome is the first expansion pack for Battlefield 1942, it adds new maps based around the Italian Campaign and allows the player two choose from 2 new armies, the Free French and the Italians. It was released for the PC in 2003.

Battlefield 1942: Road To Rome is set during the Second World War like the original Battlefield 1942. Like later games in the series, it allows players to play on maps based on famous battles from that conflict.
