On Monday, DICE finally unveiled Battlefield 4's fifth and final expansion pack, Final Stand. Taking place in the arctic environments of northern Russia, players will encounter the beginnings of technologies and weapons later to be seen in a certain 22nd century war.
As stated by Kristoffer Bergqvist & David Sirland on a recent Battlelog post:
With Final Stand, we knew from the start that we wanted to evolve the Battlefield experience and offer weapons and vehicles that behave differently than anything else on the battlefield. Taking place on the arctic landscape of Russia, where the scientists of today are experimenting with technology that will define the battlefields of tomorrow (Battlefield 2142, anyone?), Final Stand will deliver four maps…

The official Battlefield Twitter account just released a short 17-second teaser trailer for a new game mode called Rescue in Battlefield Hardline, which looks to be a mode where the objective is for the cops to save the hostages being held by the criminals.
The teaser is not on YouTube, so it can only be viewed on this Tweet. For those who aren't able to view the tweet, the teaser shows a night map taking place in an industrial area with the police surrounding the criminals as they try to find the hostages. The teaser ends with a police sniper ready to take a shot at a criminal Mechanic before it cuts to title screen.
The full trailer is set to come out later this day (August 12, 2014) and the blog post will be updated then.

In the past weeks, gamers have had a chance to learn quite a bit about Battlefield Hardline’s Multiplayer. We’ve had a great beta and that has brought in a ton of data and feedback which is making the game more awesome every day. Thad Sasser, our Lead MP Designer, has been keeping you up to date on what we’ve learned and more importantly how we’re making MP better. More great MP info is to come, because there’s a LOT more to share.
Today, though, I wanted to talk about our Single Player.

Yes I feel like one of "those" posts and I have a feeling the responses are gonna be "It'll be camos!" or "A color book!" (Ugh! I remember that one from BF3), but I'll just post some possibilities and would like to hear yours (Including the two mentioned on top).
I have this unusual feeling it may have to do with the AN-94 because it was seen in the US vs. EU tournament but was nowhere to be seen in Second Assault. I kinda am hoping for it to be the AN 94 or maybe another weapon set (Maybe a BF3 homage with the M417 and whatnot). While I am crossing my fingers for it and it seems probable, it's probably not likely.
Another one that I have this feeling for is, you guessed it, paints and camos. It seems like an impossible amount of paints and …Read more >
EA has announced a month-long event called "Battlefest", a festival built for Battlefield gamers. It will be filled with weekly rewards, contests and in-game content. There will also be prizes given out, including graphics cards and three gaming PCs, provided by AMD.
Battlefest is just a small token of DICE's appreciation and commitment to Battlefield 4.
Battlefest will kick off with a double XP event from July 12-13, so if you need to level up your game, now is a good time to start or get back into the game. The 12th also marks the first day of the daily contest (known as Battleshots), where DICE is asking you to send them a screenshot in Battlefield 4 based on a different theme requirement (which will be specified in each Battleshot). My personal idea for Dinosaur Mode. It's not this island stuff. It's some reference to Dr Who and the Invasion of the Dinosaur. How are the Dinosaur come back to life? In all these Zombie Apocalypse in forms of entertainment, you never find out where these zombies come from. Dinosaurs are back and they are here to the Earth and the Military are going to stop it. They will be civilians and you have to rescue and evacuate them. You kill civilains you'll recieve negative score.
I'm talking about Carnivorous Dinosaurs.

It seems that EA has delayed Battlefield 4: Final Stand just as they had done with Dragon's Teeth which was supposed to be released in at least June 2014 for Premium members and has a still unannounced release date.
While an exact date for Final Stand was never announced, it was announced that it would release in Summer 2014. Now, however, EA has replaced "Summer 2014" with "TBD", meaning that EA does not even believe it will release this Summer and does not want consumers to believe otherwise. -- 20:48, July 2, 2014 (UTC)Read more >

The General Manager of DICE, Karl-Magnus Troeddson has revealed in an interview with Eurogamer why Battlefield: Bad Company 3 was not the next installment in the series following the announcement of Battlefield Hardline.
"We hear those comments as well and see them," DICE boss Karl-Magnus Troedsson told Eurogamer. "There were some people who were saying, "why are you building Hardline? You should build Bad Company 3 instead."
The reason Bad Company 3 is not in development is because "DICE isn't sure what people really liked about Bad Company, and thus isn't sure how to go about making a sequel".
"We take all this into account when we think about the future, and do franchise strategy," Troedsson said. "But there's one thing that lingers with Bad Company…

Since the Era of the Modern Military Shooters is clearly about to end, i was thinking that theres a high possibility that Battlefield 5 will be set in the Future, you may say that it would be Battlefield 2143 but since EA wants major installments in the Franchise (Hardline is the exception) to secure major sells, is going to be called Battlefield 5, The Star Wars Battlefront Reboot is another story since that game is not targeted to Titanfall & future Advanced Warfare players (i hope for the love of the Maker), i feel EA will want they own Titanfall/Advanced Warfare like-Battlefield for that audience.Read more >

So overall I like what I see. As a big fan of BF and COD this game looks great to me. Visually I'd be ok with this but I hope the graphics improve. The game seems to run great no problems from the people whose gameplay i've watch. Vehicles can be damaged by guns so I'm very happy with that since I wanted that implemented. This maps seem to be designed on a smaller scale compared to BF4 maps and seem to be also focusing on fast paced close quarters map design gameplay. I cant confirm this but the guns seem to kill faster. What I mean by this is the map it self to me seems like a small …Read more >
Shorty after the EA Press Conference today, I got hands on with Battlefield Hardline. Following EA's announcement that the game was available at the press conference, I rushed over to the monitors and happily awaited to get into the action.

I've been playing a lot and I've noticed a few things that I think should be altered regarding certain game modes. A few minor alterations. These are things that could be turned on or off in server settings for custom servers but hear me out, okay?
At the very end of conquest modes, when one team has been nearly defeated, I think a sudden death stage should activate. It would work like this: when one team reaches zero tickets, players who are dead are out of the game and those still alive have one last shot to go out in glory. The game will end when either all of the losing team is dead or all objectives belong to the winning team AND the losers have no tickets at all.
So in conquest, the losers only lose when brought to total defeat. We all…
