According to Tweak Town, who had an inside industry source, EA will possibly unviel the previous announced Battlefield (2016) during their press conference at E3 2015.
While many (including myself) are looking forward to this, it probably would be more likely for it to appear during E3 2016 next year as it was stated to release a bit afterward and because Battlefield Hardline released almost 3 months ago. It could still happen, though, as it is currently known that EA will have Star Wars: Battlefront, Mirror's Edge 2, etc. and possibly Mass Effect 4 and Visceral's Star Wars game as well as others.
If the next Battlefield does appear, it poses the question of what it will be. May I remind readers that EA confirmed the next Battlefield would be militar…

Well guys, these last 5 years have been a blast here on the Battlefield Wiki from when I joined on June 10, 2010. Hell I even got the once in a lifetime opportunity to attend E3 2014 last year. I met many great people on this Wiki and even though many of them are no longer with us, our community will continue and will grow stronger. As your only active Bureaucrat here at the Battlefield Wiki, I plan to continue to support it until the time comes when I too must move on.
Until next time Wikians, see YOU on the Battlefield! -- 03:00, June 11, 2015 (UTC)Read more >

Earlier today, EA released the first trailer for Battlefield Hardline's first expansion, Criminal Activity. The trailer gives players their first look at the four new maps, Code Blue, The Beat, Backwoods, and Black Friday, along with the other features coming with the expansion. No release date has been announced yet, but as expected Premium members will have two weeks early access to the expansion at its release.
In other Hardline news, Visceral has also detailed the Backwoods map coming with Criminal Activity in a recent blog post, which is set within an abandoned lumber mill and will be the largest of the four new maps. As well, a Community Test Environment has recently been launched for Hardline; if you're a Premium member for any platform with …Read more >
Squad Conquest is a new gamemode that has been added to Battlefield 4 in the Community Test Environment and is currently in testing phase. Youtuber Westie has the breakdown of the mode in this video but I have managed to sum it up below.
Squad Conquest is a variation of Conquest Assault. As the name implies, the gamemode pits two opposing squads of five players against one another as they try to capture and hold all flags until tickets have been reduced to zero. Similar to Conquest Assault, defenders start with control of all flags while attackers on the other hand hold none. Upon losing control of all flags, the defenders are unable to respawn and lose the match by default if all players have been killed.
While the mode features three normal …

A Visceral Dev has posted on Battlelog the next series of changes being introduced to Battlefield Hardline in the next patch. Some of the big changes include making it easier to obtain Tier levels of the Reputation track, ability to obtain Camera and Shield coins easier, etc. Here's the unofficial notes he posted.
- The Reputation system has received an overhaul. The Tiers are greatly reduced in cost (esp. T4, which went from 11k to 6k) and easier to obtain during a match. The trees also got some massaging to make them more interesting and better, and this was changed based on Battlelog user feedback (thanks for the input!). In addition, we've added the ability to Pre-Select your Rep perks so that what you want is automatically applied once you…
With the Spring Patch quickly approaching, DICE has revealed more information on the presets of the Gun Master game mode set to be introduced in Battlefield 4 in the Weapons Crate Pack. -- 08:25, May 17, 2015 (UTC)
Gun Master is played like a Team Deathmatch game. The twist is that you don’t get to choose the weapons used. You swap weapons every time you get two consecutive kills on an opponent and whoever is the first player to get a kill with the final weapon wins! - DICE
This setup contains rifles, machine guns, shotguns and pistols and ends with the M9 bayonet

Battlefield Hardline multiplayer producer Zach Mumbach revealed new information on the first expansion pack for the game, Criminal Activity, on the "Don't Revive Me Bro" podcast.
He revealed that the expansion will feature four maps, two of which will take place at night. All of them will be set in both California and Florida and will be urban in layout and designed for close quarters combat, though map size will vary.
Despite this, the expansion will feature new vehicles though Mumbach did confirm that planes would not be added to the expansion. He also confirmed that the expansion will feature much more destruction compared to the base game though what this will entail was not revealed.
Criminal Activity is expected to release in Summer 2015…

The Mobile Commander App for Battlefield 4 has been pulled from the iOS App Store as well as the Google Play Store, meaning new players can no longer download and access the feature. For those who have already downloaded the app, they can still use it until August 11th, 2015 when the support will officially end permanently.
DICE has explained the reason behind this decision by stating that "This is not an easy choice, but we believe the time is right to retire the mobile app as we're seeing more of our Commanders playing on PC and console." They also went on to say that the Commander mode on PC and consoles will be unaffected by this shutdown.
The community's reaction to this is generally negative, as many felt that it was an important part of t…

Jack Frags, DannyOnPC, and many more youtubers have found the well known Megalodon easter egg on on Paracel Storm! The prehistoric shark was first found on Nansha Strike in Battlefield 4: Naval Strike.
Many months later, it was announced by DICE that they had been working on a Giant Squid easter egg for the Paracel Storm map but that it was cancelled due to time constraints. Despite this, however, DICE seems to have added the shark to the map anyway after long speculation that the map was the first to hold the easter egg.
While it is currently unknown how to trigger the event, it does seem to have something to do with the USS Titan and what appears to be either a weather balloon or UFO. Jack Frags has stated that he is currently developing a…

Visceral has revealed the community stats for Battlefield Hardline after more than three weeks after the game's release.

Visceral is looking to releases a bunch of changes to Battlefield Hardline in the upcoming 1.1 Patch. It address bug fixes and balancing and most importantly a huge nerf to The American Dream couch. See details below.
The patch will reduce the effectiveness of the multiplayer shooter's deadly couch Easter egg. Apparently, the couch was actually proving to be reliably useful to some players, and not a throwaway joke vehicle as Visceral had intended.
"Couch health reduced and repair rate decreased to a miniscule amount, making the Couch the one-off it was intended."
The couch spawns in one of several different locations, but only a single time per round--once it's been destroyed, it's gone until the next game begins. However, it can be repaired.

The Dino and Wolf Masks are gadgets featured in Battlefield Hardline that offer only visual benifits. They are unlocked upon completing the Cash Hoarder 3 assignment which requires players to have 10 Milliom dollars of cash at once, NOT ACCUMULATIVE.
The masks themselves dont cost 10 Million, you just need to money to complete the assignment and unlock them for free.
Considering the amount of time it would take to save that money up, it would be viable to play Hotwire as it rewards large amounts of cash in a short amount of time.
Visceral stated that more Masks would be available in the future, meaning it would be up to players to discover how to unlock them.

Hardline's creative director, Ian Milham, has revealed that Visceral would like to continue developing games in the Battlefield series if Battlefield Hardline is a success.
"There's a lot more gold in those hills in terms of the thematic possibilities and all the stuff we could do," Milham explained to VideoGamer.com earlier this week, "and just now having seen what people are responding to and what we've made and what its strengths are, I think any developer would usually love a chance to double down on something successful and take the best bits and add more good on that and create something more. Many games now a days are criticized for being developed and released with only a faction of the content available; the rest being set aside with a price tag to be bought later as a piece of DLC. The game Evolve is one such target of criticism and with the announcement of Battlefield Premium for Battlefield Hardline, many started targeting Visceral with claims that the developer was holding back content from the main game so that they could sell it later as DLC.
The lead multiplayer designer Thad Sasser, however, quickly put these accusations to rest. The fact is, none of the announced DLC is actually even developed yet. "I don't know how it could be included in the full game because it's not built yet. So that would be a real magic trick for…Read more >

DICE has released a video detailing a new upcoming map for Battlefield 4. Unlike past maps, however, its development is being directly influenced by the players. As the video describes, it will be added into the Community Test Environment next month in the Winter 2015 patch. In my own words, it involves DICE and players following the "Cradle-to-the-Grave" concept which is developing the map together from start to finish.

As promised, Visceral has announced details reguarding the Battlefield Hardline beta.

- Features Hotwire and Conquest gamemodes
- No Cap on progression level - Players can technically rank up to the max rank of 150 and unlock all weapons for the beta.
- Stats DO NOT carry over to the actual game.
The only thing missing from these details is the actual open beta release date. Unfortuately, Visceral did not provide a date due to wanting to make everything working in good order and not promising a release date they cannot meet. Fear not as they did hint, however, that it would be "sooner than you think".
