"As the European counter attack progressed through Germany, the Rhine once again became a crucial defensive line. The ice valley created by the frozen river had turned into an almost impassable barrier of broken ice and crevasses. On the 7th of March 2145, exactly 200 years to the day after the 9th U.S. Armored Division crossed the Remagen Bridge during World War 2, the European Forces launched a bold attack across the ice fields in hope of establishing a foothold in the Eastern shores of the Rhine."

Bridge at Remagen is an urban-based map featured in the Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike expansion. The map is based on the suppressive counterattack made by the European Union in Remagen Bridge, on the same place and date of Operation Lumberjack in World War II. This map is playable in both Conquest (Assault Lines) and Titan on up to 64-player mode.

Overview[]

The titular bridge marks the midpoint of the map in many game modes, and is the lone high point that can be reached from the ground (after a long trek up one of its supporting beams). The separated parts of the city are fairly similar in construction, with the western half being more closely packed and having more uneven streets.

A monorail line passes from the northeast end, through the bridge, and off to the west. Certain buildings have split roofs, providing even enough cover for an air transport from other rooftops.

Conquest Assault[]

Equipment[]

On the 64-player map, the helipad near West Bridgehead will spawn a UD-12 Shepherd, the only air vehicle usable in this gamemode.

Bases[]

The EU starts from the south, with a ground base at Insertion Point guarded by a single railgun.

The PAC is in the north, starting from Monorail Station. Base defenses consist of two railguns and an anti-air turret.

Silo 1[]

This silo is east of the Housing Project, next to a short wall. It is within podding distance of the EU Titan.

Defenders can hide in the nearby building, while snipers often take up positions on nearby roofs. Railguns and an anti-air turret appear along the median.

Silo 2[]

This silo is at Square, between two buildings. A railgun overlooks the street, while an anti-air turret looks towards the east. A battlewalker will spawn to the west.

Silo 3[]

Silo 3 is on the frozen river, just north of the bridge. Toppled lanes allow ground forces to travel back up to city level. An APC and a fast attack vehicle will spawn here.

Silo 4[]

Military Outpost holds this silo, set in the corner of the plaza. A battlewalker spawns here. The railgun is positioned to repel attackers from the overpass, and an anti-air turret also appears here.

Silo 5[]

Within podding distance of the PAC Titan is the silo at Hotel. Much of the capture area cannot be struck from the Titan guns if kept at its starting location. Two railguns and an anti-air turret watch to the east.
