Rocket launchers fire rocket-propelled grenades. They inflict moderate damage to vehicles. They are the Engineer or Anti-Tank soldier's main weapon in older games. In newer games, they are classified as gadgets for the Engineer class.

AV weapons can kill infantry with a direct hit, but only some weapons inflict splash/blast damage. Certain launchers can guide their projectiles by holding down the primary fire button. Unguided projectiles will typically follow a straight trajectory (or slightly rising/falling) until they impact an object.
