— In-game description
The Electronic Warfare Package is a vehicle specialization featured in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and is obtained after acquiring 1200 experience points with any vehicle or emplacement. It allows the user to see all soldiers and hidden anti-tank mines and C4 placed within 20 meters of the vehicle and is a passive specialization, meaning that it does not require user input to activate as it will always be activated the second a player uses a vehicle or emplacement and will deactivate upon leaving unless another player in the vehicle had the same specialization. It is useful for players that plan to use well known areas and wish to find mines before they are killed if they are busy with fighting other vehicles. As useful as this specialization is, many players will forego it for other specializations as they become more aware of mines, even though C4 is very popular in destroying ground vehicles.
For some players this is permanently equipped and always active allowing the player to have another spec while still keeping this one.
