The 1st Marine Division is a marine infantry division of the United States Marine Corps. It is a subordinate unit of the I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF).
It is the oldest and largest active duty division in the United States Marine Corps, representing a combat-ready force of more than 19,000 men and women. It is one of three active duty divisions in the Marine Corps today and is a multi-role, expeditionary ground combat force. The 1st Marine Division appears in Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 3.
Battlefield Vietnam[]
The 1st Marine Division in Battlefield Vietnam is represented through the 5th Marine Regiment and 1st Combat Engineer Battalion in the maps Operation Hastings and Operation Cedar Falls.
Battlefield 3[]
The 1st Marine Division appears again in Battlefield 3. Players take the role of at least two members of the division: Staff Sergeant Henry "Black" Blackburn from the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion and Sergeant Jonathan "Jono" Miller from the 1st Tank Battalion.
