No politicians, no money changing hands.
Just two soldiers speaking the truth."

Campo is a United States Marine Corps Sergeant from Misfit 1-3 during Operation Swordbreaker, as seen in the Fault Line trailer. He is likely the squad leader as he frequently gives the team orders and communicates with Captain Cole and other command elements throughout the campaign. He appears in all missions involving the squad except Uprising.

Alongside squadmates Henry Blackburn, David Montes and Christian Matkovic, in early 2014 he served in Iraq fighting against the People's Liberation and Resistance insurgency. He survives the earthquake, and later participates in the US invasion of Iran during Operation Guillotine and Fear No Evil. He later appears in the mission Night Shift, where he assists Blackburn in providing sniper fire and capturing PLR leader Faruk Al-Bashir, and is the only person other than Blackburn to hear his dying declaration about Solomon's plot.

Campo's last appearance is in the mission Rock and a Hard Place, where he and the rest of Misfit squad pursue arms dealer Amir Kaffarov into the Araz valley. Campo repeatedly warns Captain Quinton Cole about the dangers of engaging the Russian Airborne Troops guarding the route to Kaffarov, who significantly outnumber the marines. However, after failing to convince Cole, he leads the squad into the valley. During the mission, he is killed alongside Matkovic by a Russian Su-25.

Personality[]

Campo is shown to be a calm and responsible individual, and a by-the-book leader. He is rarely seen joking around in the campaign, in contrast to the loud, impudent Montes and more laid back Matkovic. Despite their clashing personalities, he and Montes appear to be good friends as they frequently refer to each other by their first names, in contrast to most other characters. Campo confides in Blackburn his dislike for Quinton Cole and his cavalier leadership style. Calling him a "Fucking Glory Hound", Campo believes that his desire for promotion has clouded his judgement and also criticizes him for rookie errors, such as in Night Shift when he calls out the unit's position over the radio, inviting an ambush. Out of concern for his squad, Campo openly questions reckless orders given by Cole as well as Joseph Brady throughout the campaign. Regardless of this, he never lets his personal feelings affect the mission, and always carries out the orders he is given, even at great personal cost.
