BFHQ is the in-game community hub for the games Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. It is the first option in each game's main menu.
BFHQ can be used to view the following:
- Awards and unlocks
- Leaderboards
- Battlerecorder replays (limited to the same patch) and available downloads (from participating servers only)
- News updates from EA and DICE
Starting from Battlefield 3, Battlelog has taken the role of BFHQ.
Battlefield 2[]
The BFHQ menu has four sections:
- Kit Info gives an overview of the player's rank, global score, most recent awards and weapons unlocked.
- Stats gives detailed statistics and a breakdown of the player's score.
- Leaderboards lists the top players in a number of categories.
- Awards is a gallery of the awards the player has gained throughout the account's lifetime.
At the top of the screen, the player is able to enter the username of another player, and compare that player's statistics with his own.
If the player is currently in the Special Forces expansion, he will be able to scroll between statistics from the base Battlefield 2 and from Special Forces.
Kit Info[]
On the left of this screen, the player's current rank and next rank are named, and a bar is shown indicating the progress towards the next rank. It also gives an overview of the player's global score, date of account creation (or "enlisted"), the date of last game played, as well as time as commander, squad leader, squad member, or "lone wolf" (not being part of a squad). At the bottom, images of the three most recent awards are shown, the last award is named, and its date of acquisition noted.
In the center of this screen, one can scroll through combinations of factions (top) and kits (bottom), and an image of the chosen combination will be shown in the middle, along with a description of the kit at the bottom. On the top right of the screen, the weapons used by this kit (excluding unlocks) will be shown along with a description, and one can scroll through these to change the image in the center. The bottom right showcases unlockable weapons for the chosen kit, and whether each one has been unlocked by the player.
Stats[]
This screen breaks down the player's score in details. On the top left, the player's rank is shown, along with his global score, number of wins and losses, teamwork score, combat score and commander score. It also shows the player that has killed the current player the greatest number of times, and the player that has fallen victim to the current player the greatest number of times.
The bottom left is divided into two tabs: Teamwork and Combat:
- Teamwork shows the total teamwork score, broken down into the following: number of control points captured, defended and assisted captures, kill assists, heals, revives, resupplies, repairs and driver assists.
- Combat shows the total combat score, broken down into the following: total kills, total deaths, score per minute, kills per minute, deaths per minute, kills per round, deaths per round, kill streak and death streak.
The top right is divided into three tabs:
- Most Played: four images are shown corresponding to the player's most commonly used kit, vehicle type, weapon type and map, along with the times played with those.
- Army Stats: the four factions (nine if viewing from Special Forces — three from base game and six from the expansion, without the EU) are listed in a predefined order, and to the right of their names are the player's time playing on each faction, as well as the number of wins and losses that the player has experienced while on that faction.
- The order of armies is as follows:
- Map Stats: all maps are listed, combining the base game and all expansions, and to the right of their names are the player's wins, losses, and time playing on each map.

Leaderboards[]
On this screen, the top players of certain categories are ranked by their score, and the player's own score is also visible below the leaderboard. There are four main categories: Scores, Kits, Vehicles and Kit Equipment. These categories are further divided into subcategories, with Kits, Vehicles and Kit Equipment listing the proficiency of each type of kit, vehicle or weapon, with the categories listed as in Stats, while Scores is subdivided as follows:
- The Overall Score leaderboard ranks you based upon your overall score. The overall score is a combination of all scoring events which occur in Battlefield 2.
- The Rising Star leaderboard ranks you based upon your performance that week. Player ranks are determined by taking your weekly score and comparing it with your time playing Battlefield 2.
- The Commander Score leaderboard ranks you based upon your ability to a command a team. The commander score is based upon the combined score of everyone on your team while you were playing as commander.
- The Teamwork Score leaderboard ranks you based upon your teamwork score. The teamwork score is determined by all team-based events in Battlefield 2.
- The Combat Score leaderboard ranks you based upon your combat skill in Battlefield 2. The combat score is determined by the number of kills you have in Battlefield 2.
Awards[]
This screen is simply a gallery of all awards that the player has obtained over the time of gameplay. At the top of the screen is a number of the latest awards earned, in a larger size than the remaining gallery, and with the date of acquisition written below each of the awards.
Under the Latest Awards section, awards are shown grouped by type, in the order of medals, badges and ribbons from top to bottom. Clicking on an award will also show it in a larger image on the left side of the screen, along with a description, and the dates of the first time and last time this award was obtained. However, ribbons cannot be clicked on, and the only way to show a ribbon in a large image is by clicking on one in the top row of this screen, or in the Three Latest Awards section in the Kit Info screen.
Battlefield 2142[]
BFHQ reappears for 2142, albeit more simplified.
