Overview Battlefield: Bad Company

The Ka-52 is a vehicle featured in Battlefield: Bad Company.

Singleplayer[]

The Ka-52 makes a very brief appearance during the end cut scene of Air Force One, where the Legionnaire's Ka-52 shoots down Serdar's golden Mi-24. The same Ka-52 also appears briefly in Crash and Grab. During the final segment of Ghost Town, the Legionnaire's Ka-52 makes a final appearance where the player must shoot it down to complete the mission, in the form of a boss battle.

It is very hard to destroy, as it can withstand 3 rockets from an M2CG, and it usually keeps its distance from the player and makes small and sudden maneuvers. A strategy to take it down would be to use the Laser Designator that the player receives earlier, as it can lock on while it's still moving, and it can be accurately targeted soon after once it hovers for a few seconds. This can also help the player achieve the "One In A Million" Achievement/Trophy.

Multiplayer[]

The Ka-52 is the standard attack helicopter for MEC forces, although, it appears in only a single confrontation, Oasis on Rush. The Ka-52 can be manned by two players, a pilot and a gunner.

The Ka-52 differs from other attack helicopters in the game, these being the Mi-28 Havoc and the AH-64 Apache, because the pilot mans the 30mm cannon, whilst the gunner uses the rockets. This makes it more optimized for lighter targets, particularly infantry, as the pilot will most likely orientate itself towards these.

However, the Ka-52 is still effective against vehicles and armor, though this role will require a second player and coordination. The rockets damage as much as the other helicopter rockets, with the added ability to be guided by the gunner, which can aid them in hitting their target and depend less on the piloting skills or trajectory of the pilot.
