The MX4 is a submachine gun for the Mechanic kit introduced in the Battlefield Hardline: Betrayal expansion.
The MX4 has a high fire rate of 800 RPM with tight hipfire and low spread, but has a longer than average reload speed and weak damage model, needing five rounds to kill out to 25 meters and up to 13 rounds at 35 meters. This makes the weapon well suited to close quarters hip firing than longer range engagements.

- The MX4's menu icon shows it equipped with a Heavy Barrel.
- The MX4 in Hardline reuses its textures and animations from Battlefield 4, but the player character now removes their finger from the trigger when reloading.
