BF4 2042

"An unusual weapon, even by Russian standards, the A-91 is a bullpup Carbine chambered in the 5.56mm NATO round instead of a Russian caliber. Made from polymers, it features a forward shell ejection system that keeps shells well clear of the shooter’s face upon ejection. The bullpup configuration prevents the A-91 from mounting a foregrip."

— Battlelog description

The A-91 is a weapon featured in Battlefield 3 as the Non-Grenade Launcher variant.

Singleplayer[]

Vladimir uses the A-91 during Comrades, but it is not available for the player.

Multiplayer[]

The A-91 has a good rate of fire and the lowest spread amongst the carbines (along with the QBZ-95B) while hip firing. However, it suffers from the heaviest and most unpredictable horizontal recoils of any carbine in the game, making it less accurate during continuous sustained fire, especially at longer ranges.

Trivia[]

  • In spite of Battlelog's description, the A-91 can equip a foregrip.
  • Originally, it was one of two weapons (the other being the M26 MASS) that didn't have Proficiency and Master Dog Tags associated with it. This issue was fixed with the March 2012 patch for Battlefield 3.
