DMZ is the fifteenth mission in the singleplayer campaign of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat.

Description[]

Your next mission is to eliminate enemy forces occupying the three villages marked on your tactical map in the northeast sector of operations. Enemy strength is estimated at one Rifle Platoon with supporting arms. Our recent losses mean that only two Fast Attack Vehicles are available, but we have no doubt you will use this and speed and firepower to bring us victory. Commence operations now.

Synopsis[]

In this mission, the player is playing from the viewpoint of the PLA, tasked with liberating three NATO-held villages in the region. One village is protected by a huge group of NATO Assault soldiers, another is protected by a group of AH-6 Little Birds and the last one is protected by NATO Snipers. After the third village is liberated, another group of NATO Assault soldiers will counterattack the player there. When the player repels the counterattack, the mission is complete.

Stars[]

To achieve a full 10-star rating, the player will need to complete the following milestones by the end of the mission:

  • Score: 250,000 points or more
  • Time: Completion in under fifteen minutes
  • Style/Weapon Use (amount of hot-swapping): Expert (about 10 hot-swaps)
  • Accuracy: Greater than 40% shots hit
  • Losses: Less than 45 soldiers on the player's team died
