Ribbons are awards featured in Battlefield 1. They were first introduced in the Community Test Environment and were formally introduced to the base game on February 14th, 2017 in the Winter Update. Functioning in a similar manner to past installments, players are awarded ribbons through the completion of specific tasks in a round and may be obtained more than once. Unlike past iterations, however, ribbons have no relation to obtaining Medals. There are currently a total of thirty-nine ribbons featured in the game with fifteen initially added in the Winter Update, five with the release of the They Shall Not Pass expansion, nineteen in the Spring 2017 update, and six with the release of the Turning Tides - Gallipoli update.
