Flying the Flag is the last mission of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. The player can play as NATO or PLA however the mission plays the same as both sides. The goal of the mission is to stop two missiles before the timer runs out.. The mission is a little hard in and the enemy is not NATO or PLA but instead The Burning Flag. When the player completes the goal one more missile is active, which can only be taken out by killing Commander 31.
"This is a no-brainer. He's got the codes to launch one ICBM at a location within the US and two more within Europe. Get in there, disable both launch silos and drop Commander 31 like a bad habit. Get all that done, or it's all over. If the balloon goes up on this one, it's a long, cold nuclear winter all round. You have full authority to do whatever is necessary to eliminate this threat."
