Well, to start of with these new awards, I'd like to nominate DEathGod for the innovation award.
Over the past few weeks, and many times in the past, he has come up with wonderful ideas to improve our wiki. From article classification, to war pages, to even these new awards, among countless other great ideas, DEath has come up with a lot of great ideas to make BF Wiki unique and he really deserves recognition for all his great ideas. Apart from DG deserving the Innovation Award, Maxwell should be the first to get the Uploader Award.
Since I came to this wiki I saw him doing outstanding work on uploading, fully licensing and correctly publishing files, always with great quality and quantity. If anyone is having this award, this mate would be on first place on my list :) This is Pedro9basket, go ahead... Roger, editing now 19:50, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

- Support - Per DG, his uploads did have some licensing problems to begin with, but he's improved on it. Йура 16:23, September 22, 2011 (UTC)
- Weak Support - Considering this is for image uploads anyway, I'll forget some of the troubles with .OGG files and such. But, while he has been instrumental in many uploads, there have been many issues with his work. For instance, there was this alleged instance of image copying, licensing issues, and the way he uploads new versions of files separately rather than uploading a new version of a file rattles me personally a lot, as it can clutter the picture browser, as well as rushing in new ideas without community consensus. However, he has been hugely useful in getting images for stuff that not all of us can, such as icons, range tables and whatnot. So, overall, a weak support from me
- support - While lots of the above have raised past issues related to Maxwell123's uploads that I fully accept, they have been generally of great quality and properly licensed in recent times. Not to mention he's had several good picture ideas of late - like weapon range and blast radius images. Just on another note that is I guess a bit irrelevant, but worth mentioning, Maxwell is doing brilliant things with embedding many great YouTube videos from our own YouTube channel - Bondpedia (Contact) [ ] 22:52, September 22, 2011 (UTC)

Zephalian for Newcomer's Award[]
No further edits should be made to this discussion. If you want to continue a discussion, start a new post
The first thing I think I should mention is the quality of Zeph's initial edits here back in July - which generally involved adding leaked content to articles. To be perfect honest, I expected that after he was confronted about it, he would stop editing. But I am very pleased to see that, far from that, he's purposely been trying to improve his contributions ever since. And I think that's what the newcomer's award is really all about - not the incredibly rare Mr Perfect, who turns up and blows everyone's minds, but the rough editors, who make mistakes, but gradually improve and become assets to the site. Looking through his contributions - I see he's doing work on trailer articles at the moment, so I guess DEath might be able to talk more about his recent contributions. But I certainly think he's come a praiseworthy way in his editing and commitment in the last 3 months - not to mention his eagerness to become a part of the behind-the-scenes community. Essay over, you may vote... - Bondpedia (Contact) [ ] 23:05, September 22, 2011 (UTC)

- Support - As per nomination, the purpose of the Newcomer award is to give recognition to users like Zeph, who even despite early mistakes, improve overtime. When I started on the trailer articles, he helped me work on the Caspian Border Trailer as well as other trailer pages, also taking screens from the trailers and adding them to articles. I look forward to seeing his edits after to release of Battlefield 3, which I hope will also bring in more users like him. DEathgod65 - OMDF (Contact)
X048J for Editor's award[]

Pretty simple. X048J has done over 2,000 edits in a shorter time than most dedicated editors do a thousand. He has done all of that without much complaint or that much attention, just working away in the background. So, I nominate X048J for the Editor's Award

Sactage for innovator's award[]
No further edits should be made to this discussion. If you want to continue a discussion, start a new post
It's a rather odd one here. While he's been inactive at periods, the introduction of URL to the wiki has been a huge bonus, doing what would take us ages in mere hours. URL's been a real help to us over these past months, and without Sac controlling the bot (and introducing it in the first place) I think we'd really have had problems over the last few months with all sorts of problems. Therefore, Sactage for Innovator's award
EDIT - To put it simply, the innovator's award is for people who bring good new stuff to the wiki. URL is a new thing for the wiki, as a dedicated bot. It's done 3000+ good things (i.e. edits) and hasallowed us to free up manpower for other tasks. That to me is innovation, even if there are other ways of doing it.

- Oppose - For innovator's award? Definitely not! He uses Auto-Wiki Browser, which is a free, open-source program that anyone could use: in fact, I used it quite a bit when I was replacing old templates and template fields, et cetera. Bovell also used it more than a few times. Maybe for an editors award, I'd support, but not an innovator's award. Йура 16:54, October 29, 2011 (UTC)
- yrue. But the fact that he created a specific bot that was originally set up so that admins could also control it is much more than just using AWB. Tell me, if he hadn't proposed the use of URL, who would have?
- I don't think it really matters. Somebody else using a bot would've, at some point (it happens). It's not as if its actions are ones we cannot live without. Йура 17:25, October 29, 2011 (UTC)
- An FYI, I don't use solely use AutoWikiBrowser. I use my own, closed-source bot framework to run URL most of the time. There's always the odd task that I need AWB for, such as certain replacements, which I find easier to do in a framework with a fully implemented GUI. Also, I modify the AWB source code and add functions as I need them, so I'm not using the stock application. Plus, I can make URL entirely controllable from IRC, which I know for a fact cannot be done using AWB. User:Sactage/s.js 19:31, October 29, 2011 (UTC)
- Long story short, his bot is self-programmed in python and is totally unaffiliated with AWB. --Callofduty4 19:35, October 29, 2011 (UTC)

There's not much needed to say. Although he only just started editing on this wiki in July, he has done a wonderful job since then (750 edits, 77,6% being on Mainspace and Files), helping me a ton as well in the BF2142 articles, giving images for the articles as well as complete re-vamps of stubs. Originally, I was hoping to nominate him for the Newcomer's Award. Now, that some fellow editors say he's been here too long to become a newcomer, I had to change it to Editor's Award, which isn't suitable for him. This dilemma has taught me to check how long the nominee has been here and his edits before nominating. If you want to Oppose, then suit yourself. I wish I could have nominated him before, but I never heard of this wiki back then. I am sorry for this problem. New Orders - Edit At Will 01:42, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

- Objection - Have people forgotten the definition of the term "newcomer?" I don't believe Awyman is eligible for the award. Regardless of how he's been contributing, he's been here almost as long as I have (I arrived in May '10, he arrived in June '10, a little less than a month after me) -- granted most of that time was inactivity, but the point still stands that he's by no means a "newcomer". I'd suggest he instead be nominated for the Editors award, if anything. Йура 04:11, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

- Oppose - Since the award changed to Editor's Award, I'll oppose. Why? First, for the 21 months he's been here, only 369 edits were made, which gives him a rate of 17 edits per month. In contrast, there are those who make those edits daily. Second, BF:AWARDS is used according to BF:CONDUCT#Praise, which states that "the most basic way to praise the contributions of another user is to simply leave a friendly note on their talk page thanking them. [...] But for those who really go the extra mile, we have a community-voted awards system." Honestly, I don't really think Awyman is near of going to the extra mile, and it'd decrease the standards of the Editor's Award greatly compared into the work of those who received until now. - Pedro9basket (talk) [ ] 08:22, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

I've known Charcoal (the 'other' Maxwell) for... well, since 2011. He may not be very active anymore, but I still think that he is deserving of this award because he persisted for a very long time. ЮраGott erhalte Franz den Kaiser!!

One of the two most important users when it comes to 2142 content, the other being H2 I also consider him a friend and a great admin -- even if he's no longer very active, I do think he is deserving of this award. ЮраGott erhalte Franz den Kaiser!!

Nayhem for Veteran Award[]

With over 2K edits and nearly four years on the wiki, Nayhem has gone practically unrecognized. He has been here longer than a lot of our admins and bureaucrats, with almost no notice. This guy absolutely deserves this award, in my opinion. Jack [signing] off! 04:18, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

Yuri had been keeping the wiki clean for years as well as helping when it came to formatting problems and by far much more. He was so good at it that it made him feel like a janitor and played a part in his leaving. While we never believed him to be the wikis janitor, he Deserves to have this. -- awyman13 Talk Work 21:28, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

- Support - For his hard work at ridding the Wiki of vandalism and maintaining order. A great and fellow editor. He will be missed; though I know he is always keeping a close eye. PLR SoldierTalk
- Support - Of the many things Yuri did, he has especially removed vandals and maintained order, per PLR.

PSK has always been the peace keeper on the Wiki since he joined. He great at difusing tensions and solving situations. Most of all he always civil and nice toward others. He is deserving in my opinion to be the first recipient to this award!

I nominate Austin for the Innovation Award. Designed to reward those who consistently come up with new ideas to improve the wiki, I think Austin's constant new ideas and eagerness to better the wiki perfectly fits this description - Bondpedia (Contact) [ ] 02:23, December 8, 2013 (UTC)

Ever since we started this project, Tywin's been a key player in the effort, especially from the BF2SF angle. He's additionally been one of the few contributors to the BF1942 and BFV pages as of late. Ergo I think he deserves this. Юра 10:14, May 21, 2014 (UTC)

PLR Soldier was one of the first users I met when I first came across BF wiki, and he nominated me for User of the month literally on my first month. Up until the wiki started going to crap, the tight-knit few of us kept the wiki pretty polished, including an overhaul project that PLR helped me with. He also essentially mentored me along the way, helping me out and giving me advice, along with many a chat session just socializing. Alright, besides my own experience, he's been around for over three years, made his way to b'crat, and is still working on the wiki now, albeit slowed down along with everything since we hit the fan. Support - PLR was incredibly helpful when I first started editing here, and he's a great source of advice regarding stuff on the wiki. He's an awesome B'crat and I'm glad he's still sticking around. - Apprentice125(Talk)06:24, January 21, 2015 (UTC)
Support - PLR Soldier is quite the useful editor around here. Lots of good things have happened with him on board. Not to mention he's been an editor here for more than 3 years. So, I support this nomination. Mess With The Best, Die Like The Rest
