The G36K is a shortened carbine variant of the standard 5.56mm NATO G36 assault rifle, made by Heckler & Koch of Germany to replace the aging G3 assault rifle. The K variant stands for "kurz" (shortened), as the barrel is shortened to 318 mm (12.5 inches), allowing it to be used better in CQB operations than the standard full-size rifle. It is featured only in Battlefield 2: Special Forces. The G36K includes a bottom rail to add attachments like a flashlight.
