The Ganz HMG is a machine gun featured in Battlefield 2142. The Ganz is the crowning achievement in light machine gun design, being more dependable than the Bianchi FA-6 LMG and more fierce than the Shuko K-80 LMG. Despite being a heavy machine gun, it is considerably light as it is constructed from super light polymer matter. It also has both an onboard stabilization system and a heat reduction system, along with using a special electronic dual-magazine feeding system.

In Battlefield 2142, the Ganz HMG is one of the unlockable weapons for the Support Kit, the other being the Clark 15B. What the Ganz lacks in magazine size when compared to the Shuko or Bianchi, it makes up for in stopping power as it has the highest damage and precision among the three. It has more recoil than both of the other LMGs, but it can be managed by using short controlled bursts and by firing from the prone position.
Though considered a heavy machine gun in the game literature, it is represented in-game as being man-portable.
