"January 31, 1968 - The North used the Tet holiday to launch what was to become known as the Tet Offensive. One of their primary targets was the ancient city of Hue. The South Vietnamese saw it as poor public relations to station U.S. military forces in the city, and the North believed the South to be weak without U.S. support."
