The Islamic Republic of Iran Army (Persian: ارتش جمهوری اسلامی ایران) is the main ground force of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In Iran, it is also called ارتش (Artesh), which is Persian for "army."

Battlefield 3Edit

In Battlefield 3, the United States Marine Corps engages the Iranian Army in the streets of Tehran, Iran and face an armored battalion of the Iranian Army and PLR tanks in Dasht-e Kavir Desert, hundreds of kilometers southeast of Tehran. The Iranian Army works hand-in-hand with the People's Liberation and Resistance, after Al-Bashir's takeover of the nation.
