"Employed by frontline infantry in a similar capacity as the EU SCAR 11, the Krylov FA-37 fires a comparable caseless armor-piercing round with considerably more recoil due to its lighter weight, hollow graphite stock. The PAC assault rifle is equally effective in winter environments, utilizing a built-in thermal dispenser. Appreciably damaging, but less accurate when fired fully automatic, the Krylov FA-37 is often operated in single-shot mode, precision enhanced via a fixed-position optical sight."

Krylov is the "average gun" among Battlefield 2142 assault rifles: It doesn't excel in any area but it also has no noticeable drawbacks, which makes it an all-around useful weapon. Many players choose it over more specialized Voss L-AR and Baur H-AR for this very reason.
When engaging the enemy at medium distances, fire in short bursts. Burst fire is also recommended when you're low on ammo or expect to be out of ammo soon. At long distances switch to single shot mode, but be sure to switch back to auto as soon as the firefight is over - running into an enemy at close quarters with single shot mode on is a recipe for disaster. Unless the combat is extremely close (i.e. knifing distance), always crouch and aim down sights before you even start firing. Crouching gives you an instant small boost to accuracy and makes you a smaller target; aiming down sights drastically increases your accuracy. It can be equipped with PK-74 AR-Rockets or the Herzog AR-Shotgun.
