"The Spetsnaz have recently discovered activity around an abandoned factory in southern Russia. Reconnaissance teams have discovered that Rebels have brought the factory back online with the intent to develop chemical weapons. The Rebels must be removed, and any found materials returned to Mother Russia for further investigation!"

Mass Destruction is a level in Battlefield 2: Special Forces. It is set during a Spetsnaz assault on a Rebel chemical weapon production facility.

Overview[]

The 16-player version is Double Assault, while the 32- and 64-player versions are Assault, with the Spetsnaz as attackers and Rebels as defenders.

As with other maps in Special Forces, the 16-player map has different layouts in singleplayer and multiplayer.

If a Vehicle Drop is called, an ATV will be given to both factions.

16-player version[]

"This is a Conquest: Double assault map. You reduce opponent’s tickets by holding more than half of the control points on the map. You win by capturing all control points or by reducing the opponent’s tickets to zero."

The 16-player version sets up both factions with a capturable main base, and two neutral control points between them.

The default number of tickets is 100 for both sides.

Scrap Yard[]

The Rebel main base in the north, spawning an artillery piece, the UAV trailer and Radar station, as well as a Pickup Truck and an ATV.

Chemical Weapons Factory[]

A neutral control point in the west, inside the factory. For both teams it spawns a BMP 3, an ATV, a FAV and two stationary RPK-74 LMG.

Train Yard[]

A neutral control point in the east. For both teams it spawns five stationary RPK-74 LMG, a HJ-8 and two ATV.

Shore[]

The Spetsnaz main base in the south, spawning an artillery piece, the UAV trailer and Radar station, as well as a stationary RPK-74 LMG, ATV and Pickup Truck.

32-player version[]

"This is a Conquest: Assault map. The force that causes the opponent's tickets to reach zero wins. The defending force can reduce the attacking force’s tickets gradually by holding all of the control points on the map. The attacking force can gradually reduce the defending force’s tickets by holding all of the control points on the map."

The 32-player version involves a Spetsnaz assault into the Rebel-controlled map.

The default number of tickets is 220 for the Spetsnaz and 200 for the Rebels.

Electrical Substation[]

The uncapturable Spetsnaz base on an island near the north. Two artillery pieces spawn on the landmass to the north of the island. On the island itself spawn the UAV trailer, radar station, as well as two stationary RPK-74 LMG, a HJ-8, an IGLA, two FAV, an ATV, a BMP 3, a RIB, and two Jet Skis.

Cooling Station[]

A neutral control point in the southeast. For both teams, it spawns a stationary RPK-74 LMG, a HJ-8, an IGLA, an ATV, a FAV, a Tunguska, a RIB and two Jet Skis.

Scrap Yard[]

A Rebel control point directly to the south of Electrical Substation. For both teams it spawns a stationary RPK-74 LMG and a Pickup Truck.

Train Yard[]

A Rebel control point in the center-south. For both teams, it spawns four stationary RPK-74 LMG, a HJ-8, an IGLA, an ATV and a Pickup Truck.

The Rebel main base in the west. It spawns two artillery pieces for the Rebels, and the UAV trailer and Radar station, as well as two stationary RPK-74 LMG, a BMP 3, an ATV, a FAV, an IGLA and Mi-35 HIND.

Shore[]

The southernmost Rebel control point. For both factions, it spawns a stationary RPK-74 LMG, a Pickup Truck, an ATV, a RIB and a Jet Ski.

64-player version[]

The 64-player version extends the 32-player version by moving the Spetsnaz uncapturable base further, and adding a neutral control point.

The default number of tickets is 330 for the Spetsnaz and 300 for the Rebels.

Dump Site[]

The uncapturable Spetsnaz main base in the north of the map. It spawns two artillery pieces, the UAV trailer and radar station, as well as two stationary RPK-74 LMG, a HJ-8, an IGLA, a T-90, a BMP 3, a Vodnik, a FAV, two ATVs, a Mi-35 HIND and a Jet Ski.

Electrical Substation[]

A neutral control point on an island south of Dump Site. For both factions, it spawns three stationary RPK-74, a HJ-8, an IGLA, two FAVs, a Pickup Truck, a RIB and a Jet Ski.

A Rebel control point in the far southeast. For both factions, it spawns a stationary RPK-74 LMG, a HJ-8, an IGLA, a FAV, a Vodnik, an ATV, a RIB and two Jet Skis.

A Rebel control point to the south of Electrical Substation. For both factions, it spawns a stationary RPK-74 LMG and a Pickup Truck.

Train Yard[]

A Rebel control point in the center-south. For both teams, it spawns four stationary RPK-74 LMG, a HJ-8, an IGLA, an ATV and a Pickup Truck.

The Rebel main base in the west. It spawns two artillery pieces, the UAV trailer and radar station. In addition, for both factions, it spawns two stationary RPK-74 LMG, an IGLA, a FAV, an ATV, a BMP 3, a T-90 and a Mi-35 HIND.

The southernmost Rebel control point. For both factions, it spawns a stationary RPK-74 LMG, a Pickup Truck, an ATV, a RIB and a Jet Ski.

Singleplayer[]

In singleplayer, the two factions start on opposite sides, some flags and vehicles have been slightly changed, but the layout is almost the same.

Scrap Yard[]

The Spetsnaz now start in the north, with this point spawning an artillery piece, the UAV trailer and radar station, as well as a Pickup Truck and BMP 3.

Train Yard[]

The neutral control point in the east has been moved to the north slightly onto a lower surface to allow BOT access. It now spawns no vehicles.

Chemical Weapons Factory[]

The neutral control point in the west has been moved outside the building to allow BOT access. It now spawns an ATV, a Pickup Truck and a BMP 3.

Shore[]

The rebels now start in the south, with this point spawning an artillery piece, the UAV trailer and radar station, as well as a stationary RPK-74 LMG, a Pickup Truck and an ATV.
