A Melee Weapon is a weapon designed for hand-to-hand combat. Various melee weapons appear in the Battlefield series:
- Knife - A combat knife, featured in Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Battlefield 2142, Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield Heroes, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield Play4Free, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, and Battlefield 1.
- Bayonet - a bayonet mounted to rifles, or wielded in the hand. Bayonets are featured in Battlefield 1942: The Road To Rome, Battlefield 1943, and Battlefield 1.
- Machete - featured in Battlefield Vietnam.
- Plantation Knife - a scythe featured in Battlefield Vietnam.
- Type 94 Shin Gunto - a Japanese sword featured in Battlefield 1943.
- Blunt Weapon - Blunt weapons featured in Battlefield Hardline, and Battlefield 1
- Wrench - a tool in Battlefield 1943 that can also be used as a weapon in hand-to-hand fighting.
