This article is a stub. It is short and in need of fortification. Why not help out? |

Monte Santa Croce is a map featured in Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome.
Map layout[]
The main objective is to take over the parts of the hill. In this map planes and light and heavy armor are available. This map isn't very popular, but not because of unbalanced teams like in Monte Cassino but because of the relatively small distance between bases.

Conquest[]
All seven control points lie around and at the peak of this mountaintop. Allied or Axis troops must take control of four points around the mountain and three more at the peak. To win a head-on scenario, your team needs to maintain control of more than half of the control points on the map."

The Axis base[]
The uncapturable German base at the north of the map, on the west of the river. It spawns two CA M-11/39, two Kübelwagen, two Sturmgeschütz, a BF-110, a Bf 109, and a Wespe.
In singleplayer, there will only be two CA M-11/39, one Sturmgeschütz, a Wespe and a BF-110.
The Allied base[]
The uncapturable French base at the north of the map, on the east of the river. It spawns two M3 Grants, two Willys, two M3 GMC, a Mosquito, a Spitfire and a Priest.
In singleplayer, there will be only two M3 Grants, one M3 GMC, a Priest and a Mosquito.
Western village[]
A neutral control point to the northwest of the mountain, close to the center of the map. It spawns only a stationary Browning for the Allies, or a stationary MG 42 for the Axis.
Eastern village[]
A reflection of the Western village to the northeast of the mountain.
Eastern repair station[]
A neutral control point to the northeast of the mountain, far away from the center of the map. It spawns a scout car and an anti-aircraft emplacement. For the Allies, it spawns a Willy and an AA_Allies emplacement. For the Axis, it spawns a Kübelwagen and a flak38 emplacement.
Western repair station[]
A reflection of the Eastern repair station to the northwest of the mountain.
East Santa Croce[]
A neutral control point to the southeast of the mountain. It spawns an AT-25 for the Allies, and a PAK 40 for the Axis.
West Santa Croce[]
A reflection of East Santa Croce to the southwest of the mountain.
Monte Santa Croce[]
The central control point, starting neutral. For the Allies, it will spawn two Priests, two AA_Allies emplacements and four Brownings. For the Axis, it will spawn two Wespe, two flak38 emplacements and four MG 42.
In addition, there are two AT-25 emplacements and one AA_Allies emplacement at the northern tip of the mountain, in front of the village flags. These are not tied to any control point.
Capture the Flag[]
The layout of control points is identical to Conquest. The control points West Santa Croce and East Santa Croce now only provide anti-tank emplacements (AT-25 and PAK 40).
The Allied flag is located at the Eastern repair station, while the Axis flag is located at the Western repair station. These flags no longer provide vehicles or stationary weapons.
Team Deathmatch[]
The layout of control points and vehicles is identical to Conquest.
Outcomes[]
— French Victory
— French Defeat
— German Victory
— German Defeat

Trivia[]
- As this map has seven capturable flags, it is not possible to send a radio order with F4 to attack/defend one of the flags, as this command has only space for six flags (F4 being the closest flag to the player, and F8 cancelling the command).
- The name of this map is misspelled "Santo Croce" in the game files and the server browser.
