Talk0this wiki

Added by PresidentEden78The PP-19 "Bizon" is a 9mm submachine gun developed in the early 1990s by a team headed by Victor Kalashnikov in the Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant. It is used by the MEC in Battlefield 2, and is also featured in Battlefield Play4Free and the Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand DLC.

Edit
In Battlefield 2, the PP-19 is issued to the MEC Anti-Tank Kit. It is very similar to the MP5, with the exception of the additional 15 rounds to each magazine. This gives the PP-19 a slight advantage over the other submachine guns.

Main weapon |
The PP-19 comes in the Back to Karkand expansion along with 9 other weapons. It has a 54 + 1 round magazine despite the game saying otherwise. The PP-19 is unlocked after completing the assignment Familiar Territory, which requires the player to:
- Capture 10 flags,
- Arm 10 M-COM stations
- Play for 2 hours in Strike at Karkand.
It has a fairly long reload time for a PDW, and due to its very low damage at range, is highly ineffective at longer ranges when used without a zoom sight. However, Its high rate of fire, large magazine and low recoil makes it highly effective at shorter ranges. However even at close quarters combat, the PP-19 is still outperformed by a lot of assault rifles, carbines and PDW's in terms of the time it takes to kill, as it deals the absolute lowest amount of damage of any firearm at close range, requiring a highly unusual minimum of 6 body shots to kill a target. For this specific reason, alot of players tend to overlook the PP-19 in favor of the slightly lower capacity, higher damaging P90. Although the PP-19 deals more damage than the P90 or MP7 at longer range (taking 8 bullets to kill, compared to their 9) it's not a noticeable advantage as both guns are poor choices for engagements at 40 meters and beyond, although the PP-19 does have somewhat lower recoil than the rest of the fast-firing PDWs.
As of the December Soldier Upgrade, players will be able to equip on the PP-19 the Digital Woodland Camo by default and can also equip the Desert Stripe Camo once the PP-19 Specialist assignment is completed.
