The Russian Air Force (Russian: Военно-воздушные cилы России) is the air force of Russian military. The sucessor of the the Soviet Air Force, the Russian air force was formed in 1992 after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Its roles are Defeating enemy units, Reconnaissance, defence of major military units and facilities.

Battlefield 3Edit

The Russian Air force makes its first, unnamed appearance in Battlefield 3. During a Rock And A Hard Place, the VDV is paradroped by An-22's and supported by Su-25 Frogfoot's.
