The SAR-21 (Singapore Assault Rifle - 21st Century) is a bullpup assault rifle designed and manufactured in Singapore. First revealed and subsequently adopted by the Singapore Armed Forces in 1999, it was designed and developed over a four-year period and was intended to replace the locally license-built M16S1 by the Singaporean Ministry of Defense (MINDEF), Singapore Army, and the Chartered Industries of Singapore.
Many of its design features are directly intended to counter the weaknesses of the M16S1 as encountered operationally by some infantrymen. The SAR-21 has been adopted by numerous countries.

It has the highest base stability and lowest recoil of any assault rifle. To compensate for this, however, it also has the lowest rate of fire of any weapon in the Assault class, making the SAR-21 more difficult to use up close. This low rate of fire does have a few advantages, though; the ADS spread takes much longer to reach its maximum spread, allowing for a longer duration of sustained, accurate fire. The low firerate also conserves ammo, making the SAR-21 best suited for medium to long-range engagements.
The SAR-21 is the third unlockable assault rifle in the Assault Class, requiring 19,000 Assault Rifle score.
The SAR-21 has very light recoil which makes it one of the most stable Assault Rifles in the game. Any inaccuracies lie within its side-to-side recoil, which can be mitigated using the compensator attachment.
It is quite usable with any optic, including the longer-ranged options. Which one you choose is all based on your personal preference.
Its lower rate-of-fire means it's a great option for Mid- to Long-Range engagements but can be outpaced in Close-Quarters by most PDWs and other weapons with a higher rate-of-fire.
Despite being a bullpup rifle, it does not have the improved hipfire and on-the-move accuracy that most bullpup weapons share, likely to focus its playstyle to long-range combat.
- The SAR-21 shares its iron sights with the M416.
