The Standard Sniper Scope was the default scope for all sniper rifles in Battlefield Play4Free until the scopes were split up between the Standard Marksman Scope and Standard Sharpshooter Scope variants. Marksman Scopes now function for the SVD, SVU-A, M14, VSS, and M110. Meanwhile Sharpshooter Scopes work on the SV98, L96A1, M95, M24, and GOL. The main difference between the two scopes is that the player has to un-scope between shots with the Sharpshooter Scope, but not with the Marksman Scope.
