I would appreciate it if someone more familiar with the penalties for friendly fire would chime in in the appropriate spot. Son of a Magnet 02:34, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
lol at the RvB quote, though it'll have to go as it isn't Battlefield. I'll look into getting the statistics, but, if I remember there are only point penalties. SSD天皇陛下萬歳! 02:40, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
For some reason, I thought I remembered some BF2 servers autokicking you after a certain number of instances of "team damage" (not that I ever... you know... uh...). I'll be sad if the quote has to go. There are plenty of references to non-BF things in this wiki; maybe it could find a place if we expanded the article to talk about "team killing" in general?- Unsigned comment was added by Son of a Magnet (Contributions)
Unless it s a reference or IRL info, it should all go. So yeah, the quote will have to go... And the article has to relevant to Battlefield, andonly that. A brief explanation of what it is, of course, otherwise, no. Its a Battlefield wiki, and we're keeping it that way. SSD天皇陛下萬歳! 03:50, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
What is the point of activating it when all it does is just 'cause people to end up quitting, to me it should be around, but dense usage and a 1/3 damage should be used, don't punish people for something the host is dumb enough to do. Peter GriffenBoyRadio Operator
I have played on non-hardcore (softcore?) mode servers (possibly only a server) with friendly fire enabled; I'm pretty sure that (a) it's disabled by default, and (b) the overwhelming majority of people prefer it that way. Son of a Magnet 12:55, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
That's probably for PC, as all the console versions' "softcore" don't have friendly fire, which is the way DICE meant it to be. Of course, custom servers will be able to do anything, but they're third party. SSD天皇陛下萬歳! 16:00, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I play on the PC. Let's see if I can make this section not awkward. Son of a Magnet 16:25, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
