This should be deleted. We already have an article about it. FPS Headhunter Mphhh hmmhhhh hmmhhh hmmmhhh............ 03:12, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

Weapon Range[]

There is some contradiction. For the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 section, it states that "its low accuracy can make it difficult for long range targets". Then it claims that "its minimal kick allows continuous fire even at long range". Which is correct? --Five Dog Talk 14:45, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

Uhh, yeah, there's gonna be a bit of revision done... Admin SSD 天皇陛下萬歳! 20:38, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

Renaming[]

I was thinking of renaming this article to QJY-88, to avoid confusion with the Type 88 Sniper. There is a disambiguation page for "Type 88" so people searching Type 88 would be directed there. Comments? Admin SSD 天皇陛下萬歳! 01:19, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

I'd agree. Better off that we just rename it. FPS_Headhunter LASER GUNS BEW BEW!!!! :D 21:49, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

If there's a disambiguation page, there is no need to rename. Type 88 LMG is the in-game name for one, and the QJY-88 for others, so there's no simple answer. But, the article you want to avoid confusion with is called QBU-88, wont that be too similar too? If we keep it here, I think there will be less confusion - Bondpedia (Talk) (Contributions) Administrator and BureaucratVeteran 22:16, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

You think? There are more games with it named QJY-88, rather than Type 88, and it would generally keep the articles "cleaner", with more uniform names. Admin SSD 天皇陛下萬歳! 00:40, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
Feel free to move it, you and FPS have out-voted me, but that's just what I think - Bondpedia (Talk) (Contributions) Administrator and BureaucratVeteran 12:47, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I'm moving it and the talk page to QJY-88 and touch up the article a bit. Admin SSD 天皇陛下萬歳! 00:58, June 12, 2010 (UTC)

Comparison[]

How is the Type 88 LMG compared to the PKP Pecheneg in Battlefield 3?

falloutghoul

The Type-88 does much less damage per bullet, but is more accurate for automatic fire, and has much less recoil. If you want to kill enemies quickly with a few bullets, the PKP is better for that, but if you want the hold down the trigger without the gun kicking too much, the Type 88 will work well.

Must've been unlocked for everyone in a recent patch. I noticed I had it a week or two ago and didn't get the Physical Warfare Pack with my copy. Enclave Symbol (Fallout 3) PresidentEden78 Enclave Symbol (Fallout 3) 05:38, December 25, 2011 (UTC)
