The Technical in Battlefield 2: Special Forces based on a grey 1980's Toyota Hilux pickup truck. It is used by all factions in the expansion pack. The Technical is fast, but comes at the cost of armor, as it is very easy to destroy one. Each Technical is equipped with a RPK-74, which is located on the dashboard, and a M2 Browning on the bed of the truck. The Technical is the equivalent of the HMMWV and AIL Raider.

Battlefield 3
Edit
Single Player
Edit
In Battlefield 3, the Technical is a confirmed vehicle. Henry Blackburn uses a KORD heavy machine gun mounted on a jeep, captured from PLR forces during Operation Swordbreaker. And starting from the ninth mission up to the tenth mission, several PLR forces mount Techincals to assault the player.
Co-Op
Edit
In the mission Fire from the Sky, at least three technicals are used by the PLR to attack Warrior 2-1, in which the players must destroy them to continue through the mission.
Multiplayer
Edit
The 'Rhino' in Battlefield 3: Aftermath is a technical modified from a civilian van.

Trivia
Edit
- In Battlefield 3, there is a driveable technical outside of the map boundaries in Night Shift, located behind the complex where Faruk Al-Bashir is hiding in. It has a mounted KORD machine gun which can also be fired. It can be driven back into the main boundaries, however this can cause instant player death due to spawning enemies.
