The Type B1 submarine was a class of Japanese submarines designed in 1940 and used by the Imperial Japanese Navy throughout World War II. It appears in Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2Edit

In Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the Type B1 is seen during Operation Aurora. Near the end of the mission, the player and their squad must clear out a sub pen, which has three Type B1 submarines docked. Two are damaged or destroyed by the fighting in the sub pen, and the last one is captured by US Marines to escape the island. However, it is subsequently sunk by the tidal wave caused by the Black Weapon.
