Inside DICE
The first post of the brand new "Inside DICE" blog series is an interesting read, but it seems some of the biggest questions are being answered, by DICE's GM, Karl Magnus Troedsson:
You can read the full article here.
He begins by stating:
"Engaging in direct dialogue with our fans has been on my agenda for a while"
Which is true, because there is alot to take in, but I'll summarize one of the more inportant things:
- "'Going back to San Francisco": Here is where it's gets interesting. KMT hints at content most likely to be revealed at the 2012 Game Developers Conference. We can probably expect something to be shown for Battlefield 3 alongside the reveal for Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Note that EA's 'Game Changers' Press Conference will be LiveStr…
DICE responds to "Blackout".
Following the list of changes soon coming to Battlefield 3 and threats of a "blackout", DICE responded with the reveal of a new weekly blog called "Inside DICE", "featuring regular updates to our fans on the latest news, content plans, updates and upgrades we have planned for Battlefield 3".
It's nice to see that we have finally gotten a response in regards to what is going with Battlefield 3.
This will be very interesting to see what happens, and I'll keep you updated on when the new blog launches.
Full Tweaks List Released on Battlelog.
Posted on Battlelog, you can read it here. Discovered on Matros' Twitter, it seems there will be quite a significant amount of changes, but be advised, there is still no ETA for when the fixes/changes will be implemented. I am unsure if this is in relation to the info from Alan Kertz, but I would trust the confirmed official source. Now, if this was released in response to the pending Blackout, I'd be a mite surprised.
Now with all the hell that may be raised over the next couple weeks, I'll keep you all posted and as always........I'll see you on the Battlefield.
Also, please note that the Battlelog list is still a work in progress and may have future additions.
Battlefield: Blackout.
No. "Blackout" is not the title for DLC or a new game. First proposed via Battlefieldo , the Blackout is a movement where the more dedicated fans will not be playing Battlefield 3 or any other Battlefield related game for a set amount of time, unless the problems with Battlefield 3 are fixed, or at the bare minimum, communitcation between DICE and their fans are better established and adressed. Here is part of Battlefield-O had to say:
"So....this is what we are going to do....as a community; we're going to give EA until Friday, March 2nd to announce the next major patch and the fixes that they have made, or are currently making SOME acknowledgement of the outcry about the issues that are currently wrong with this game[....] or we are going to …
