While players will have to pay for Activision's Call of Duty ELITE, Electronic Arts has announced that it has no plans to charge for its Battlelog social service for Battlefield 3.

This announcement was made after a Wedbush analyst predicted that EA might launch a paid, premium version of its service. EA's comment on that was as follows:

"We have no plans to charge for this service with Battlefield 3," reads EA's statement. "The Battlefield series has always been about playing with friends, and Battlelog takes that experience to the next level by serving as a unique social network."

Are you glad that Battlelog will remain free? Or would you like some paid extra features for premium users to appear?
