Over the past few months, DICE had made numerous references to the mythological Giant Squid known as the Kraken in a manner similar to the Megalodon Easter Egg that was discovered a few months ago. As it turns out, there actually is ..... er was a Kraken Easter Egg on Paracel Storm according to DICE. To unlock it, it would have involved players climbing specific palm trees while holding certain items, before bolts of lighting struck the ocean, followed by a UFO invasion that would have heralded the arrival of the Kraken. DICE, however, has announced the removeal of the event as it "just didn't have the resources to finish implementing the cataclysmic map event". As such they have removed any and all references to the beast that had been added.

The videos by Youtuber Westie explains this as well as the upcoming addition of Night Maps to Battlefield 4. -- awyman13FandomStaff.png (Talk/Work) 03:49, January 21, 2015 (UTC)
