UPDATE: Ironically enough, this feature will not be included on the PC version of Battlefield 3.
DICE's Alan Kertz stated that PC players must exit Battlefield 3 in order to switch servers via Battlelog. In an attempt to reassure those ready with their pitchforks, Kertz claims that the game "starts up really fast."
In a game where a lot of content is being fine-tuned for a PC experience, console players may be surprised to hear that they are getting one of those formerly PC-only features.
EA confirmed today that the console versions of Battlefield 3 will be getting a server browser. PC players are likely to be familiar with this already; a server browser allows the player to specifically select and filter which server he or she wants to play on. Options can be as generalized as sorting by gametype, or as distinct as player count or number of players currently on the server.
Battlefield 3 is currently being closely examined by players and the press alike at Gamescom 2011.
