I've been hearing a rumor about a bill in Congress that proposes any streaming of illegal content that infringes copyright will be considered a felony. I'm not entirely sure if this is true at all but can any of you look further into it? The bill seems to mention videogames as well and you cannot upload footage, coverage, or gameplay without the consent of the owner. If this does happen, then IGN, GameSpot, NextGenTactics, GamerSpawn, Mahalo, Machinima, and etc. would go out of business. It would also probably cause a further decline in the videogame industry. I believe the reactions to this so far in general have been negative and is fueling controversy in some places. I'm sorry if this is off topic but can someone please confirm this?
