Battlefield 3 is taking over sales more than anyone could expect.
Despite Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from Battlefield publisher's [EA] rival Activision have unavoidably outselled Battlefield 3 in pre-order sales and is already in position to break new best-selling records after a short period where they were even according to a rumor from GameStop, according to Cowen Group, Battlefield 3's pre-orders are near to match MW3's predecessor but also best-selling record maker, Call of Duty: Black Ops. For those who aren't familiar, Black Ops broke world records, selling $1 billion worldwide in six weeks and surpassed Wii Play for the most selled video-game in the United States of America, having 13.7 million copies in the US alone.
This could mean very positive for EA, DICE and the Battlefield series, being more than 1/3 of its 30 million total sales. Although it was not officially resported surpassing or getting equal, it was confirmed it is getting near, and all that adds the excitement and anticipation for the release of the final retail version, October 25th.
